Precious life

The more I become involved in my true calling, the more I feel responsible to share what I live. I never thought that how I view the insects, animals, plants, flowers, trees, etc. would be of importance for anybody else here on Mother Earth. Having just read the words from the Greenlandic Shaman Anganngaq  about the huge changes in the world happening right now, I need to share with you my attitude to all beings and to nature – including my today’s failure. I tiptoe around ants, I stop at most bugs, I feel hurt when a flower or “just” a leaf is stripped...

Life is a puzzle

I am participating in the online course “A Creative Adventure of Self-Discovery” to stir up my creativity since the end of April 2013. It is my intention to get back to my creative life, to learn focusing also on myself now and then, to make time for self-care and self-growth. The exercises I need to be doing range from writing, reflecting, to creative tasks such as painting, doodling, collage making etc. Here goes the first one. The task is to grab any art medium and feel free to get messy. As Shannon from free spirit says, “Remember, there isn’t a...

Easter Wonderland

It’s 5 a.m., Good Friday, and as usual I need a tiny moment to get fully awake while my baby son is already fit for the day. My first look into the new day goes out of the window. I am blown away by the view. The universe provided a big miracle, turning the still cold but upcoming spring into a snowy Easter Wonderland! Thick layers of white cover the streets, roofs, cars, sidewalks, and trees appear like having a huge sugar coating put on. Sleepiness is forgotten, and together with my son we marvel at the big white cover over all the life out there this morning. I begin...

Yummy gluten-free cookies

There are these days when inspiration takes over and things left behind are taken up in an instant. Today is such day. The sun is shining, my son sleeping on my back in the carrier, and I feel amazingly inspired to use this little time I’ve got to share with you my newest recipe for gluten-free cookies. I have done gluten-free cookies before, and generally use following recipe: 250g gluten-free flour 125g margarine 60g sweetener pinch of salt 1 egg 1/2 a teaspoon Xantham Gum (ususally I forget, so this time that I remember I think it’s a sign to share it with the...

Art online

With astonishment I realize how huge an impact the web has on the art scene. I sometimes consider exhibiting my art work on the street, but find it challenging to get the audience as easily as on the internet. Besides having to figure the perfect spot. It’s astonishing what artists can do today: share their creations with thousands of viewers in no time. That’s impressive. Of course, to draw attention they need to spread their work through Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and whatever is popular. That art is easier discovered in the web is probably due to the nature of...

Vilnius quiz with miracles

Spain, July-September, 2003. This summer is a special one. I uptake hitch-hiking as a means to travel and, far better, a handsome Lithuanian man finds his way right into my heart. After a magnificent holiday together, we part with the promise to see each other three months later, at Christmas, in Lithuania. Spain, October, 2003. My creative nature gives me a brilliant idea. I decide to organize a quiz about Vilnius as a Christmas present for Augustas, with the price being a most special one: me myself prior to the date and time he’s expecting me. Spain, October-December...

UnSunk FUNK photo shoot

November 2010. I am staying at the UnSunk FUNK gallery of Genevieve in Bunbury, WA. After delivering a hug sent by a funny busker we met on the streets of Perth, we are invited to stay as long as we wish. As we like helping out, we figure that Genevieve urgently needs a photo shoot for her newest vintage dresses and done, so she could put them on-line in her UnSunk Funk shop. Additionally, she dreams of having a couple of photos revealing the inside treasures of her gallery shop. Just a couple of months ago I had accomplished the task of a wellness photo shoot at Monte Vista...

Where the mind goes the energy flows…

Zaragoza, Spain, 2003. Dr. Wayne Dyer uses this statement often in his lectures. I wonder where my mind went while producing this one: I remember vaguely that I intended to create something perfect. A great but false intention because “perfect” things only happen when I can let myself simply be and turn of my mind. In those moments creation is upon perfection simply because I follow the energy flow, the anything that is meant to be, that is supposed to evolve. It seems as if doing art switches my mind off automatically. It feels like jumping into a lake of cold...

I love creating business cards

Designing something always makes me happy, especially when beginning to learn the usage of graphic editors such as Corel Draw. Since 1992 I regularly fall over little tasks such as creating birthday cards, invitations, poster, logos, banners, etc. Over the years I have worked with several different programs besides Corel Draw, such as Jasc Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Photo Shop, Adobe Light Room, Power Point, Infranview, and other small freeware. Whatever program is available in the moment of need, I learn to use it somewhat. Making business cards I especially enjoy. The first one...

Faaa-n’Tastique!

Ipoh, Malaysia, July/August 2010. I have the inspiration for drawing a hand with a head on. For keeping my memory fit and my imagination clear I make a tiny draft on one of the papers laying around. Time comes when I am ready to draw the head-hand figure. It goes surpisingly fast, as if it is given to me from a higher source. In the process of drawing I have the beautiful idea of colouring the head in rainbow colours, similar to another painting I did back in India called Human Flower. Unfortunately, time is running short, and I don’t manage to finish the painting in...
